The Capital Pension Plan Variable Benefit is Now Available

The Variable Benefit retirement income option is now available to eligible current and former members of the Capital Pension Plan. The Variable Benefit operates much like the Prescribed Registered Retirement Income Fund (P-RRIF) option, except your money remains with the Capital Pension Plan during retirement.

With the Variable Benefit retirement income option, investment earnings continue to accrue in your account on a tax-deferred basis. At the same time, you can receive regular retirement income payments from your Variable Benefit account. You have the flexibility and control to decide how much income you wish to receive.
