About Us

The Capital Pension Plan was established in 1976 as a defined contribution (money purchase) pension plan. Our Canada Revenue Agency registration number is 0395624.

The Plan's purpose is to provide employers with a cost and tax effective method of providing their employees with a means to systematically save for retirement.

The Capital Pension Plan provides retirement benefits to its members and survivor benefits to their beneficiaries. The Plan currently has more than 60 participating employers, including private corporations, labour unions, crown corporations and other selected organizations. There are more than 7,600 members participating in the Plan.
